saavos is a chatbot you point at your website and get a working bot in five minutes — Claude under the hood, citations on by default, flat pricing. We built it because nothing on the market hit all three at once.
One platform took an afternoon to configure flows, another shipped on GPT-3.5 at the entry tier, a third charged $99 per seat for features a solopreneur doesn't need yet. The ones that were fast used cheaper models and confidently hallucinated. The ones that ran frontier models were priced for enterprise procurement.
We wanted three things in one product: five-minute setup, a frontier model on the entry tier, and a bill that doesn't spike when traffic does. When no existing platform did all three, we built one.
The name is the promise. If a visitor lands on your site and finds five minutes between paste-URL and live-bot is too long, the rest of the comparison doesn't matter. So that's the bar we hold ourselves to. Every feature decision starts with: does this keep time-to-first-bot under five minutes?
A bot live on your site in five minutes that handles your top thirty questions beats a bot you spend five hours configuring that handles your top hundred. Time-to-first-value is the only metric that matters when a solopreneur is evaluating a tool with twelve other tabs open.
We charge flat tiers — $19, $49, $199 — with no per-message billing on Starter or Pro, capped overage on Business. Your bot has a great week on Reddit? You don't pay extra. Your bot has a quiet month? You don't feel ripped off. The bill is predictable enough that you stop thinking about it.
A bot that says “I think it's $19” is worse than no bot — the visitor leaves with the wrong number. A bot that says “Pricing is $19 [source]” with a verifiable link is the foundation of trust. We ship citations on by default, with retrieval thresholds tuned so the bot refuses cleanly when it doesn't know rather than confabulating.
Every paid tier ships the latest Claude Sonnet. When Anthropic releases an upgrade, you get it — no “available on Business” gate, no token-budget adjustment, no migration paperwork. The frontier model is the floor, not the ceiling.
I'm not pretending to have ten thousand customers. Day 18 of public bootstrapping. Zero paying customers — that's still the bar. The product is in Phase 5b — production hardening for the ingest pipeline, billing webhooks, and the embed widget. Payments are wired through Dodo Payments as merchant-of-record. The first paid customer is still ahead of me.
