— What it does

The Open Graph Generator is a free tool that creates the Open Graph and Twitter Card meta tags that control how your page looks when shared on Facebook, LinkedIn, Slack, X, and other platforms. Enter your title, description, image, URL, and type, and it outputs copy-ready HTML alongside a live preview of the social card — all in your browser.

  • Generates og:title, og:description, og:image, og:url, og:type, og:site_name, og:locale plus Twitter Card tags.
  • Live social-card preview shows the image, title, description, and domain.
  • Choose website, article, or product type and summary or large-image Twitter cards.
  • Runs entirely in your browser — nothing you enter is uploaded.

How to use it

1

Fill in your link details

Enter the title, description, image URL, page URL, and site name you want shown in social previews.

2

Check the preview

Watch the social-card preview update live so you can confirm the image and text look right before you publish.

3

Copy the tags

Copy the generated Open Graph and Twitter Card HTML and paste it inside your page <head>.

Frequently asked

What image size should I use for og:image?
Use a 1200×630 pixel image (a 1.91:1 ratio) for the large-image card. Smaller images may be cropped or shown as a small thumbnail, and most platforms expect images under about 5 MB.
Do I need Twitter Card tags if I have Open Graph tags?
X (Twitter) can fall back to Open Graph tags, but adding explicit twitter:card and related tags gives you control over the card type — summary or summary_large_image — and the most reliable preview.
Why is my preview not updating on the live platform?
Social platforms cache previews. After updating your tags, use the platform’s own debugger or sharing-validator to re-scrape the URL so the new image and text appear.
Is anything I enter uploaded or saved?
No. The Open Graph Generator runs 100% locally in your browser. Your title, description, and image URL are never sent to a server or stored anywhere.
